In an attempt to better care for my body I decided to give dry brushing a try. If you aren't familiar with the new fad let me catch you up to speed.
What is dry brushing?
It's exactly what it sounds like. I take a special brush and three times a week dry brush my skin with it. At first I felt like a horse but now I am completely in love with the practice .
What are the benefits?
So I gained all of this information off of other blogger so know I am unsure of it's credibility.
1. Exfoliate dead skin cells. This on feels like common sense so I believe it. I can sometimes see my dead skin flaking off (Gross but real. You have dead skin too.)
2. Supports Lymphatic system. This is the one I would love for someone with more understanding about the body than I to clarify for me. My understanding is that fry brushing stimulated the natural flow of the lymphatic system aiding in the break down of toxins.
3. Reminds me to care for myself. My favorite benefit is it's just time with me and my temple. It's hard to dislike a body that I spend so much time caring for. This is the only body I will ever have so caring for it well reminds me not to waste time hating a thing that is completely and forever mine.
When I am finished brushing I apply Amaki's Nourishing Oil. It smells heavenly and leaves my skin so smooth. I was worried about being greasy or sticky all day but this product is so light and wonderful. I can't imagine dry brushing without it!
